I had an issue that drove me nuts yesterday and I wanted to share the fix I found. TLDR: While being impatient I messed up and activated my CD Key to a different social club account than my steam account, now I can change neither. Maybe one of you guys has had a similar problem or knows something that could help. I have already opened a Rockstar support ticket last night but have not received an answer yet.

Trying to log onto my new account with Steam tied to it Here are screenshots of what it says when I try to log onto either account: I now have a CD Key activated to 1 social club account, with my Steam account linked to another and neither are changeable. After I made a second account I logged in there and my Steam account got tied to that.

Being impatient I quickly made a second account, since I didn't really care if the game was gonna be on my old social club account or not (I forgot I had already activated the key). Now I'm sitting there on launch with a locked Social Club account. (I am auto-logged in on my browser and didnt know I was gonna get locked, so I just tried some passwords that I know I used before). I managed to get my account locked by entering the wrong password about 3 times. When the game completed downloading and I tried to log onto my Social Club account to play GTA. During launch I gained access to my CD Key and went onto the Social Club website and activated my key there, while the game was still downloading.
